Summer Karate Program – Begin between June 19 & September 13

Exploring Jiu-Jitsu – June 19- 22, 2017

CURRENT STUDENTS ONLY
Future Instructors Camp – July 10-13, 2017
Competitors Camp – August 21 – 24, 2017

 

 

This TWELVE WEEK program will introduce new students to the thrill of Martial Arts. 
All classes emphasize the basic development of student’s physical, emotional and mental well-being through the integration of physical education,  self-defense and general Martial Arts concepts.  New students may attend any no belt
/ white belt class up to 3x per week.

 

The purpose of this camp is to give students a general understanding of Jiu-Jitsu ground self-defense principles. Each camper will be exposed to the foundation of Jiu-Jitsu and the key fundamentals  needed to defend themselves in a variety of situations.  Non-violent resolution is encouraged in all situations.  CAMPERS will learn basic Jiu-Jitsu movements along with overall body awareness.   Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is an excellent way to complement the Martial Arts techniques that are taught in our Karate classes!

Campers will develop valuable lifetime leadership skills as the emphasis of this camp is teaching  Ultimate Martial Arts, overseeing a classroom, and being a role model for ALL students.  Participants will focus on developing a daily lesson plans that follows the UMA Curriculum, recognizing the needs of each student, meanwhile, gaining tools to modify the daily lesson plans to meet each students particular needs and correcting students in a positive manner.  Campers  will also learn about the process of testing students for their requirement stripes and methods used to encourage students to reach their individual goals.   *ages 10+ Participation in this camp does not guarantee a placement on our staff.

 

Do you love to compete, and want to become a better competitor? If so, then this camp is for you! Every day, students will go through drills to improve their form techniques and become more confident in their competitive performance.  Each camper will have the opportunity to create a unique form for the upcoming 2017 – 2018 competition season.
